Fresno hit three home runs to take over the lead in all of professional baseball with 168, surpassing their parent club, the Houston Astros, who hit two dingers on Friday for 167 on the season. Despite a Reno win, Fresno remains alone in first place in the Pacific North Division.
Tacos starter Mike Hauschild (5-1) held the Baby Cakes to just one hit through the first six innings. Steve Lombardozzi had the one base hit in the opening frame and then scored on a wild pitch. Despite allowing the one run, Hauschild only walked one batter while he struck out six for the win in his fourth quality start of the season. Fresno is now 11-2 with Hauschild on the mound.

Since returning to Fresno on July 24, Mayfield is 5-for-16 with three home runs and six RBI.
Reed notched his second RBI of the night in the bottom of the seventh when he singled up the middle to score Tony Kemp (single) to increase the Tacos' lead to 3-1. Max Stassi made it 4-1 when he hit a bomb to left in the eighth. The solo shot was his 12th of the season.
