ASHEVILLE- The Asheville Tourists took home some more hardware from the South Atlantic League yesterday. Minor League Baseball and the Sally League announced Asheville’s John Garcia as the circuit’s Player of the Week. Garcia is the third Tourists player to win this award in 2024.

ASHEVILLE- The Asheville Tourists played the Winston-Salem Dash tough for nine innings on Tuesday, however came up short by a final score of 7-1. Asheville and Winston-Salem each had ten hits and the Tourists starting pitcher, Jose Guedez, did not allow a hit until the fifth inning.

ASHEVILLE- The Asheville Tourists notched their second straight one run victory over the Greensboro Grasshoppers with a 4-3 win on Saturday night. It was also the Tourists second consecutive sellout crowd on hand to see the home team come out on top.

WINSTON-SALEM- The Asheville Tourists dropped Sunday’s series finale to the Winston-Salem Dash 5-4 in ten innings. It was the second extra-inning game of the week for the Tourists who showed great resolve and fight throughout the series.

WINSTON-SALEM- The Asheville Tourists were down a run and down to their final strike on Thursday when John Garcia clubbed a two-run go-ahead double in the top of the ninth. The Winston-Salem Dash rebounded in the bottom of the ninth, scored two of their own, and walked off on Asheville
