(www.tecolotes2laredos.com - Juan Alanís) 18 de marzo de 2025.- Harold Andrés Ramírez, ‘El Pri’, el outfielder colombiano que presume rulos teñidos de azul por una muy buena razón, se hizo presente hoy martes en el campo de entrenamiento de Tecos de los Dos Laredos, el cual ya cumplió su sexto día de actividad.
Abordado al finalizar su práctica de bateo, el oriundo de Cartagena compartió sus primeras impresiones de llegar al campo de preparación para una nueva temporada de la Liga Mexicana de Beisbol, la primera para él.
“Estoy muy contento de esta nueva oportunidad que me está brindando el béisbol aquí con los Tecos”, comenzó emocionado, “es mi primera vez en México y esperamos que todas las cosas salgan bien”.
Sobre su contacto con la novena de las Dos Naciones, el pelotero de 30 años de edad manifestó haberse puesto en contacto con el gerente deportivo, Kelvis Flete, y conversar posteriormente con Félix Fermín, su nuevo manager, quienes le compartieron detalles del equipo que se ha formado para este 2025.
¿Qué has escuchado de la Liga Mexicana de Beisbol antes de venir aquí?
“Siempre he escuchado que es la 'segunda Grandes Ligas’, todos los equipos están bien armados y todo mundo está jugando al 100 por ciento para ganar”.
En la gran carpa, Harold Ramírez acumuló 536 juegos con 517 hits, 38 de ellos cuadrangulares y 247 carreras impulsadas. En 2019 debutaba con Marlines de Miami, en 2021 jugó para los otrora Indios de Cleveland, entre 2022 y 2024 lo hizo para Rayas de Tampa Bay y en ese último año pasó a Nacionales de Washington.
¿Cómo defines tus seis años jugando en Grandes Ligas?
“Gracias a Dios fueron excelentes, tanto con las personas, numéricamente; con los equipos pude aportar mi granito de arena todo el tiempo y estoy contento del trabajo que venía haciendo”, contó.
¿Qué crees que le puedes aportar a Tecos?
“Estaré aquí para lo que me necesite el manager desde el principio y siempre voy a dar mi 100 por ciento para brindarle un buen espectáculo a los fanáticos”, dijo, “para yo sentirme bastante satisfecho con eso”.
Sobre la Liga Profesional de Béisbol Colombiano, ¿qué nos puedes decir de esa liga que va creciendo?
“He estado participando todos los años allá, gracias a Dios ha venido creciendo de una manera increíble. La mayoría de los grandes ligas colombianos han estado jugando allá, ayudando al crecimiento de la liga y esperamos que podamos conseguir un buen apoyo y nos mantengamos así”.
El último invierno para Ramírez lo comenzaba con Caimanes de Barranquilla, donde jugó 13 encuentros. Posteriormente fue tomado por Águilas Cibaeñas en la postemporada de República Dominicana y jugó la Serie Final para Tigres del Licey.
Háblanos sobre tu cabello azul.
“El motivo es que mis dos hijos tienen autismo, Ethan y Elián, y el azul es el color que lo representa, y por eso yo tengo el cabello azul”, compartió.
Esto lo llevas del entorno familiar a tu día a día como pelotero…
“Sí claro, ellos son mi motivación a diario y siempre los tengo presentes”.
El sudamericano agradeció a los aficionados la bienvenida a su nuevo equipo, y pidió que confíen en cada uno de los peloteros que viene a aportar su granito de arena en pro del conjunto Binacional.
Dentro de la práctica de este martes se pudo observar trabajos con elevados dentro del cuadro, así como batazos largos a los jardines. El bullpen estuvo activo con Brandon Brennan, Sam Bordner, Daniel Mengden, Bernardo Martinez, Wandisson Charles, Kendry Flores, Chase Cohen, Emilker Guzmán y Aaron Hernandez.
Para este miércoles 19 los trabajos estarán comenzando a las 9:30 de la mañana en el Uni-Trade Stadium.
