Multi-platinum alternative rock band ‘The All-American Rejects’ with special guest Bishop Briggs will host a concert at Four Winds Field on April 20. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with music beginning at 6:30 p.m. The concert will kick off the University of Notre Dame’s IDEA Week, an annual event that celebrates innovation, entrepreneurs, and the incubation of world-changing ideas.

‘The All-American Rejects’, known for hits like ‘Move Along’, ‘Dirty Little Secret’, ‘It Ends Tonight’, and more, have been performing since 1999 after being formed in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Lead singer Tyson Ritter has been with the band since its inception, and is joined by Nick Wheeler, Mike Kennerty, and Chris Gaylor. The band has released four studio albums, with their debut record, ‘The All-American Rejects’, achieving RIAA platinum status. To date, they have sold over 10 million albums, with over seven million monthly listeners digitally on Spotify.
Joining The All-American Rejects on April 20 is Double Platinum recording artist Bishop Briggs. Briggs single “River” reached Double Platinum status in 2021 and has been streamed more than 485 million times on Spotify. Her debut album, Church of Scars, was released on April 20, 2018 and her second album, Champion, in July 2019. Champion was included in The Young Folks Top 50 albums of the year.

Now in its sixth year, IDEA Week runs from April 20 – 26 and hosted by Notre Dame, the South Bend-Elkhart region, Starting Small Summit and various community organizations and businesses. Opening Night at Four Winds Field is set for Tuesday, April 9 at 7:05 PM against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. With the first pitch of the home calendar set to be thrown just 11 days prior to ‘The All-American Rejects’ rocking the house, the first month of the 2024 campaign will be one of the most anticipated April’s in South Bend Cubs history.
About the South Bend Cubs
The South Bend Cubs are the High-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. Over the past 35 seasons, the team has won five Midwest League titles, most recently in 2022, and captured nine division titles. In 2023, the organization was selected as the Single-A Bob Freitas Award recipient by Baseball America. Four Winds Field, home of the South Bend Cubs, was voted Best High-A ballpark in the country by Ballpark Digest in 2022 and 2023, having also won the award as a Low-A ballpark in 2017. In 2019, the South Bend Cubs hosted the final Midwest League All-Star Game. In 2015 the team was named Ballpark Digest's Team of the Year and received the John H. Johnson President's Award, the highest award in minor league baseball. The team is owned and operated by Swing-Batter-Swing, LLC whose principal shareholder is Andrew T. Berlin of Chicago, Ill.
