The Hickory Crawdads defeated the Greenville Drive 7-4
The Hickory Crawdads (18-23, 55-51) defeated the Greenville Drive (12-26, 38-66) 7-4. Leury Tejada (5-4, 4.82) secured the win after 3.1 innings pitched and totaled four strikeouts. Greenville’s Tyler Uberstine (1-1, 2.45) absorbed the loss after tossing 4.2 innings. Hickory struck first putting up three runs in the third inning

Hickory struck first putting up three runs in the third inning by an Evan Carter RBI double, a Thomas Saggese sacrifice fly, and a Cristian Inoa RBI single.
The Drive scored their first run of the night when Nick Yorke hit a sacrifice fly to bring Max Ferguson home.
The Crawdads put the nail in the coffin in the seventh inning by tacking on four runs to their lead. Fraiyner Chavez first scored on a wild pitch followed by a two run single from Cody Freeman and a sacrifice fly from Konner Pioto.
The Drive didn’t back down and added another run to their efforts off the bat of Nick Yorke. Matthew Lugo shortened Hickory’s lead with a 2-run RBI, but it wouldn’t be enough and the Drive fell 7-4.
