Intro (0:00)
Tyler, Sam and Benjamin Hill open this week's show with a discussion on the news that the Trenton Thunder will host Triple-A Buffalo for the 2021 season due to a domino effect involving the Bisons and their parent club, the Toronto Blue Jays. Also, Ben offers details on how Tulsa is honoring Jackie Robinson with a mural outside of their stadium.
Hillsboro/Trenton interviews (16:13)
The Thunder aren't alone in playing host to another Minor League club this season. The Hillsboro Hops will also house their fellow High-A West club from Vancouver due to travel restrictions at the U.S./Canadian border. Hillsboro president and general manager K.L. Wombacher and Trenton general manager and COO Jeff Hurley both join podcast to talk about how their respective clubs are lending a helping hand to Vancouver and Buffalo to begin the 2021 season.
New Atlantic League rules/Better Know an Affiliate Structure (45:04)
News broke Wednesday that Major League Baseball will test out two new rule changes in the Atlantic League in 2021 -- the mound will be moved back to 61 feet, 6 inches for the second half of the season, and there will be a "double-hook" rule when it comes to the designated hitter. Tyler and Sam bring their takes on what the changes will mean. The guys also close out the show with a look at the new affiliate structures in the AL West and talk about the new logo for the podcast.
