Intro/Ben's Biz Banter (0:00)
Tyler, Sam and Ben open this week's show by discussing Ben's recent story on how Minor League broadcasters -- Lansing's Jesse Goldberg-Strassler, in particular -- are handling their road duties at home this season. The guys also talk about what's at stake in the Surf & Turf Series between Jacksonville and Durham.
Jim Drnec interview (15:41)
Jim Drnec was driving in Delaware when he heard an interview on the radio about Beloit's Name the Night initiative that gives fans a chance to brand the Snappers' ballpark for a game in 2021. Despite having never been to Beloit, Drnec got together with his family to name the park Harry F. Drnec, Jr. Memorial Stadium after his brother who died in November. Jim talks to Tyler, Sam and Ben about the experience and how his brother, who had his own marketing experience, would have gotten a kick out of the whole thing.
Three Strikes (28:04)
As part of this week's Three Strikes, Tyler and Sam discuss which prospects are already breaking out in 2021, what Blue Jays fans can expect from Alek Manoah ahead of his Major League debut and what big names are headed to Olympic qualifiers in Florida for the coming weeks.
Ghosts of the Minors (48:20)
This week's edition of Ghosts of the Minors puts its money where its mouth is and answers the question of which of the Goldsboro Posh Steppers, Calumet Aristocrats or Madison Millionaires was the real Minor League club of the early 20th century.
