September 7, 2012: The Rattlers beat Burlington 3–0 at home in Game Three of the first-round playoff series. David Goforth pitched a nine-inning, complete-game, four-hit shutout. September 7, 2012: The Rattlers beat Burlington 3–0 at home in Game Three of the first-round playoff series. David Goforth pitched a nine-inning, complete-game, four-hit shutout. The Rattlers were held to three hits in the game. HOWEVER, two of those hits were back-to-back solo home runs by Ben McMahan and Nick Ramirez in the bottom of the fourth. Goforth walked two and struck out nine in the game. Wisconsin advances to the West Division Final against Clinton.

2000: The Rattlers beat Kane County 5–3 at home in Game Three of the first-round playoff series. Wisconsin scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning with a two-run double by Shawn McCorkle and an RBI double by Chris Snelling. McCorkle added a solo home run in the fourth inning for a 4–0 lead. The Cougars scored three runs in the top of the fourth on a home run by Scott Goodman to get close. Wisconsin added a run in the bottom of the fourth on an RBI single by Ruben Castillo. JJ Putz, the Rattlers starting pitcher, went six innings and only allowed that three-run homer. Julio Mateo pitched two scoreless innings out of the bullpen and Chad Wiles pitched around a two-out walk in the ninth to close out the game and the series. Wisconsin advances to the West Division Final against Beloit with Game One at Beloit on September 8.

1999: The Rattlers won 5–2 at Rockford in Game One of the first-round playoff series. Juan Silvestre broke a 2–2 tie with a sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth. PJ Williams added a two-run triple in the top of the ninth for some insurance over the Reds.

1996: The Rattlers won 7–4 at Quad City in Game Two of the first-round playoff series to force Game Three on September 8. Luis Tinoco hit a two-run home run with two outs in the bottom of the first ininng to give Wisconsin the early lead. Joe Mathis and David Ortiz added two RBI later in the game for the Timber Rattlers.
