Three TinCaps Participate in All-Star Game
MIDLAND, Mich. - Jorge Oña, Fernando Tatis Jr. , and Logan Allen represented the TinCaps and the Eastern Division in the 2017 Midwest League All-Star Game on Tuesday evening at Dow Diamond. The Eastern Division All-Stars lost to the Western Division team, 5-2.

Oña started as the designated hitter for the Eastern Division. The 20-year-old came to the plate in the first inning and singled to left-center field. Oña's single was one of just six hits for the Eastern Division. In the fourth inning, Oña struck out looking to complete a 1-for-2 evening.
Tatis Jr. came in defensively in the sixth inning to play shortstop. The 18-year-old's lone at-bat came in the eighth inning, and he struck out looking. Tatis Jr. participated in the Home Run Derby on Monday night, reaching the second round of the three-round competition.
Allen pitched in the sixth inning. The left-hander threw seven pitches, six for strikes, and struck out the lone batter he faced.
The TinCaps return to action on Thursday to begin the second half of the season. Fort Wayne will be in Bowling Green, Kentucky for a four-game series against the Bowling Green Hot Rods. First pitch is set for 7:35 p.m.
