DANVILLE, Va. - In the opening game of both a three-game series and an eight-game homestand, the Danville Braves earned an exciting 4-3 win over the Elizabethton Twins on Brandon Parker's RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning in front of 2,294 fans Thursday night.
Danville held the lead from the first inning until the Twins tied it at 3 in the eighth inning. Justin Yeager came in with the bases loaded and two outs in the eighth inning and got the final out to end the Elizabethton threat. After an empty ninth frame for the Twins, Parker delivered the winning hit in the bottom half of the inning.

The home side got off to an early lead in the first inning, as Palma reached second on a throwing error to leadoff the game. Three batters later, Connor Blair knocked Palma in with an RBI single for the 1-0 lead.
In the second, third and fourth innings both teams put runners on base but nobody would truly threaten until the fifth inning. Elizabethton loaded the bases with one out, but Santos got two batters to pop out to end the danger.
