The decision to postpone tonight’s contest comes after Thursday night’s incident involving Durham pitcher Tyler Zombro being struck by a batted ball. In a statement from the Tampa Bay Rays issued today, Zombro is currently under the care of doctors and nurses at Duke University Hospital and he remains in stable condition.
The thoughts and prayers of the entire Norfolk Tides organization continue to be with Tyler, his family, friends and the Durham Bulls at this time.
