Jack Kenley lead off the game for the Tigers with a double on the first pitch of the contest. 2019 first-round pick Riley Greene reached on an error to put runners at first and third in the inning.
Ryan Kreidler drove in Kenley on a sacrifice fly to put the Tigers up 1-0. Kreidler now has an RBI in the last three games for Connecticut. Greene finished the game 0-for-4 reaching twice on two errors by Staten Island.
