Tourists Fall to Cyclones 12-5, Series Evened Up
ASHEVILLE- The Asheville Tourists took on the Brooklyn Cyclones on Wednesday night in Game Two of this week’s series. Asheville built a 4-1 lead but Brooklyn outscored the home team 11-1 down the stretch and defeated the Tourists 12-5.

The Cyclones plated a run in the top of the first inning. Asheville’s starting pitcher, Deylen Miley, settled in and churned out three straight scoreless innings from the second through the fourth. The Tourists offense recorded a three-run third inning that included a two-run Cyclones error and a Tim Borden II RBI single.
Asheville tacked on another run in the fourth when John Garcia doubled home Michael Sandle from first base. Garcia finished the game 2-for-3 with a walk.
Brooklyn bounced back with a big fifth inning. The visitors plated five runs to take the lead 6-4. Asheville kept the deficit at two until the Cyclones put the game away late with three runs in the eighth and three more in the ninth.
Borden II went 2-for-4 as did Zach Cole who also walked and stole a base. The Tourists pitchers issued a total of ten walks in the game. Miley struck out his 100th batter of the season to end the first inning. It was one of Miley’s four strikeouts on the night.
