FRISCO - Taylor Hearn and a team of three relievers scattered four hits and one walk Friday night as the RoughRiders edged Corpus Christi, 2-1, before 7,372 fans at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
The Hooks (25-17, 68-43), who entered the series riding a five-game win streak, have dropped two in a row.

Corpus Christi's lone run came on a lead-off home run by nine-hole hitter Anibal Sierra in the sixth.
Hearn, who was making his debut in the Texas system after being acquired from Pittsburgh, struck out eight and did not issue a free pass over 5 1/3 frames. The lefty from nearby Royse City permitted only three baserunners outside of the Sierra dinger, one via an error and two-out singles by Randy César and Chas McCormick.
Frisco (25-17, 49-63) rolled a pair in the second against Brandon Bielak. Luis Yander La O and Josh Morgan opened the frame on bloop singles. A wild pitch put them in scoring position for Mike O'Neil, who notched a sac fly. Another wild pitch allowed Morgan to score.
Bielak retired 11 of the last 12 he faced and struck out five on the night.
Newly-acquired Astros reliever Roberto Osuna worked a scoreless sixth and lefty Alex Winkelman struck out four over two shutout frames.
Cole Wiper was the first out of the Frisco pen, retiring both men he faced in the sixth.
Wei-Chieh Huang, who was recently picked up by the Rangers from Arizona, fanned three over two innings in his Riders debut.
Cesar worked a walk from lefty C.D. Pelham to open the Hooks ninth. Pelham then struck out Lorenzo Quintana looking and induced a fly out from Abraham Toro. Cesar lost track of the outs and was doubled off first to end the game.
Lefty Brett Adock (1-0, 2.45) gets the ball for Corpus Christi Saturday night. The Riders counter with Pedro Payano (4-8, 6.09). First pitch 7:05.
