North Little Rock, AR - The Arkansas Travelers claimed game three of the series, 7-2, against the Springfield Cardinals before 5,327 fans at Dickey-Stephens Park on Friday night. SS Ramón Urías went a perfect 4x4 with a home run, a double, two singles and a walk to extend his hitting streak to 12 straight games.

Cardinals RHP Sam Tewes and Travelers RHP Chase De Jong (W, 5-4) exchanged a pair of scoreless frames to start, before a solo blast from 2B Ramón Urías in the top of the third lifted the Cardinals (5-16, 38-53) ahead, 1-0.

The Travelers (12-7, 47-42) countered with a two-run shot from 3B Chris Mariscal in the bottom of the fourth, the only two runs they scored against Tewes in his five frames.

Springfield squared it right back up in the top of the sixth inning. RF Lane Thomas led off by reaching on an error, before racing around to third on a single from 3B Evan Mendoza. LF Victor Roache then skied an RBI sacrifice fly to center, plating Thomas and tying the game, 2-2.

The Travelers, though, reclaimed the lead right away in the bottom of the sixth against LHP Elniery García (L, 0-1). A throwing error brought in the go-ahead run, followed later by an RBI single from RF Logan Taylor that made it 4-2.

Arkansas then added three insurance runs in the bottom of the seventh. RHP Junior Fernandez, the Cardinals #10 prospect, took over to start the inning for his Double-A debut. However, a pair of walks around a strikeout were followed by an RBI double from DH Eric Filia. The Cardinals intentionally walked 1B Dario Pizzano, but Fernandez lost Mariscal to an RBI walk. SS Yonathan Mendoza dealt the final blow with an RBI fielder's choice, making it 7-2.

After De Jong's seven innings, RHP Stephen Perakslis closed the door with two scoreless frames in the eighth and ninth, wrapping up the 7-2 win for Arkansas.
