North Little Rock, AR—The Arkansas Travelers made it three straight wins over the Springfield Cardinals and five out of six overall with a 3-1 victory on Thursday night at Dickey-Stephens Park. A three run first inning was enough offense as six Travelers pitchers combined to hold Springfield to only four hits. Ian McKinney struck out nine over five innings, giving up just one hit as he earned his first win. Collin Kober recorded the final three outs for the save.

Moments That Mattered

* After a leadoff walk by Jordan Cowan, Jake Scheiner smoked a double to the left-center field alley to put the Travs on top. Joe Rizzo followed with an RBI single and later Bobby Honeyman added a two-out, two-strike RBI hit.

* Springfield scored in the seventh and had a runner still at third with one out but Jake Haberer got a fly out and a strikeout to end the threat.
