Trio of star starters part of Riders initial roster

FRISCO, Texas (Mar. 27, 2019) - Three of the top arms in the Rangers farm system -
All three pitchers rank in the top 10 of MLB Pipeline's top 30 Rangers prospects list, with Hernandez leading the way at No. 5, Burke ranked sixth and Palumbo checking in as the eighth-best prospect. Hernandez and Palumbo each pitched with the Riders during the second half of the 2018 season, while Burke was acquired in a trade from the Rays in December.
Aside from the three impressive arms, the 2019 initial roster features…
* 15 players who have previously suited up for the Riders and an additional four players with experience at the Double-A level or above in other organizations
* Four members of the Rangers 40-man roster (Burke, Hernandez, Palumbo and
* Nine players age 23 or younger
* Players from seven different countries (Canada, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Taiwan, United States and Venezuela)
* Three players from Texas, including Dallas native

The Frisco RoughRiders are the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers and play their games at beautiful Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas. The team was founded in 2003 and has finished first among all Double-A franchises in attendance in each of the last 14 seasons (2005-2018).
