Reno, NEV. - In game two of three between the Aces and River Cats, the Aces lost by a score of 9-1. Reno was led offensively by Christian Walker who crushed his 50th career home run in an Aces uniform and his 18th of the season. Starting pitcher Matt Koch went 4.2 innings, striking out one Sacramento batter, but allowed eight earned runs on 13 hits. The loss drops the Aces to a record of 61-59 and 8.0 games behind the first place Fresno Grizzlies.
Sacramento tallied nine runs on 16 hits Tuesday night to secure their 48th victory of the season. Former Aces catcher Ronnie Freeman finished 3-for-5 and hit his first triple of the season. Every River Cats starter recorded at least one hit against the Aces pitching staff. Freeman led the way with three hits and four players ended their night with multi-hit performances.
