Wednesday's Game Suspended Due to Inclement Weather

The Palm Beach Cardinals game against the Jupiter Hammerheads was suspended Wednesday night at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium. With the matchup tied 3-3 in the top of the 7th inning, the contest will be picked up on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. Gates will open 30 minutes before first pitch. Tickets

The Palm Beach Cardinals game against the Jupiter Hammerheads was suspended Wednesday night at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium.

With the matchup tied 3-3 in the top of the 7th inning, the contest will be picked up on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. Gates will open 30 minutes before first pitch. Tickets for Wednesday's suspended game can be exchanged for any game in 2022 (some blackout dates may apply).

Palm Beach opened the scoring with a pair of runs in the bottom of the 1st, on a two-RBI single from center fielder Matt Chamberlain with one out.

The Hammerheads added a run apiece in the third, fourth, and fifth innings before the Cardinals tied the game in the bottom of the 5th on a Jhon Torres RBI groundout.

Starting pitcher Tink Hence allowed an unearned run for Palm Beach, while striking out four batters in three innings. Left-handed reliever Chris Gerard surrendered two runs, one earned over three frames tossed, and was the active pitcher when the game was suspended with no outs in the 7th.

For Jupiter, Edgar Sanchez threw five innings and allowed the three Cardinal runs.

After Wednesday's game is completed on Thursday, Palm Beach and Jupiter will play their regularly scheduled matchup. It will be Thirsty Thursday at the ballpark. Tickets for Thursday's game will be good for both the completion of Wednesday's matchup and the regularly scheduled contest. Bryan Pope will be on the mound for Palm Beach in Game 2.
