Welker Named Cal League Player of the Week

Welker hit .455 (15-for-33) with a 1.426 OPS. He added 4 doubles, three home runs, 10 RBI and 13 runs scored while drawing 11 walks.
Through the season's first 10 games, Welker leads the league in batting, on-base percentage, OPS, walks and runs scored.
Welker, 20, entered the season ranked as the Colorado Rockies 4th-ranked prospect by Baseball America.
The award marks the first Player of the Week honor for Lancaster since infielder
