Girardi will be entering his first season as manager of the Philadelphia Phillies after officially being hired by the organization on October 24. The new skipper had previously managed the New York Yankees from 2008-2017, guiding them to a World Series victory in 2009. He began his managerial career in 2006 when he managed the Florida Marlins for one season, winning the National League Manager of the Year award. Girardi has managed more than 1700 games and has a career record of 988-794 (.554).
Before being hired by the Phillies, he was working for MLB Network as an analyst. The East Peoria, Illinois native also played 15 years in the major leagues with the Chicago Cubs, Colorado Rockies, New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals.
Quinn is no stranger to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. The Phillies outfielder played in 74 games for the IronPigs over three seasons, hitting .285 with ten doubles, seven triples, four home runs and 26 RBI with 24 stolen bases. The Port St. Joe, Florida native played in 44 games for the Phillies this season, before his season was cut short due to an injury. He's played in 109 career games for the Phillies.
