World Baseball Classic to Feature 15 Former Reno Aces Representing Eight Nations

Reno, Nev. – Following the World Baseball Classic’s official rosters announcement on Thursday by Major League Baseball, 15 current and former Reno Aces players and coaches will be representing eight nations (Canada, Dominican Republic, Great Britain, Italy, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela) in the upcoming tournament beginning on March 8th.
Six members of the 2022 Pacific Coast League Championship winning team, outfielder Dominic Fletcher, pitcher Humberto Mejia, catcher Dominic Miroglio, reliever Mitchell Stumpo, outfielder Alek Thomas, and manager Gil Velazquez will be participating in the tournament.

The 20-team tournament will begin Pool Play on March 8th in Taichung, Taiwan, with Pool A followed by Pool B playing the next day in Tokyo, Japan. Starting on March 11th, Pools C and D will take place in the United States in Phoenix, Arizona, and Miami, Florida.
Qualifiers from Pool A and B will play the quarterfinals in Tokyo on March 15-16, while qualifiers for Pool C and D will square off in Miami on March 17-18. The WBC’s Semifinals and Finals will also take place in Miami at loanDepot Park from March 19-21.
