This year’s keynote speakers will include Dallas Braden. Dallas pitched just the 19th perfect game in Major League history against the Tampa Bay Rays on Mother’s Day in 2010. His grandmother, Peggy, who had raised Dallas after his mom passed away, was in attendance. This will be something of a ‘homecoming’ for Dallas. He was drafted by the A’s after his junior season at Texas Tech and pitched for the RockHounds over parts of three seasons (2005-06-07) on his way to The Show. After his playing career, he became a studio analyst for ESPN in 2014 and joined NBC Sports California in 2017 as a pre-and postgame host for A’s television. Dallas has now been the color commentator for A’s TV broadcasts for the last seven seasons.
The event will also include two-time Super Bowl champion, Jim Jeffcoat. Jeff played a role in three eras with the Dallas Cowboys and was a member of the back-to-back Super Bowl championship teams (1992 & 1993). Playing under head coaches Tom Landry, Jimmie Johnson, and Barry Switzer, Jim never missed a game in 12 seasons. (1983-94) with Dallas, appearing in 188 games. Jim finished his Cowboys career with 102 ½ sacks, which ranked 15th all-time in NFL history at the time of his retirement.
