Jackson (9-9, 46-42) matched it's longest winning streak of the season with the victory. The Generals last won four in a row at Hank Aaron Stadium in early May. The only run crossed home plate in the second inning.
Young was pulled with his spot in the order due up in the top of the sixth inning. He threw 58 pitches over five innings, 42 of which were strikes.
In the ninth,
Mississippi (4-13, 38-49) has gone without a run in 19 innings, scoring last in the eighth inning Friday night in Mobile. The Generals have not allowed a run in 20 innings going back to their win Saturday night against Birmingham.
