Zach Attack! Remillard Shining This Season

Quietly, Zach Remillard has put together a very strong 2022 season with the Charlotte Knights. He's been among the team leaders in nearly every offensive category this season and has been heating up even more as the season has gone on.
In July, Remillard hit .310 (22-for-71) with 12 runs scored, one double, one triple, one home run, nine RBIs and four stolen bases. He also had a team-leading .388 on-base percentage, as well as a strong .394 slugging percentage and a .782 OPS in the month.
Remillard has continued his success into the month of August. In six games, he's hitting .278 with a home run, four RBIs and two stolen bases. He had a three-hit game on Friday, August 5 in game two of the day's doubleheader.

THIS SEASON WITH THE KNIGHTS
Remillard has played a key role on the Knights all season. Whether it's on the bases, at the plate, or in the field, the 28-year-old has excelled. For the season, he's currently batting .283, which is tied with Mark Payton for the team lead (through August 8). He's also tied with Payton for the team lead in runs scored (56) and is tied for second in hits with Carlos Pérez (84).
As far as getting on base this season, Remillard has been one of the best on the team. He leads the club in walks (40) and on-base percentage (.367). Once on base, he's always a threat to steal a bag or two. Currently, he is tied with Adam Haseley for the team lead in stolen bases with 15.

IN THE FIELD
Remillard has played all around the infield this season, finding starts all around the baseball diamond. He's even had some time in the outfield this year -- showing his versatility in the Charlotte lineup.
In his 94 games this year with the Knights, Remillard has played first base (13), second base (12), third base (19), shortstop (51) and left field (3).
2021 SEASON WITH CHARLOTTE
Appearing in 82 games with the Knights last season, the Coastal Carolina University product launched 12 home runs — good for the third-best mark on the team behind Mike Mahtook (26) and Jake Burger (18). He also had success on the base paths and led the Knights in stolen bases with 10. Additionally, he finished third on the club in walks (27) and tied for fourth in runs scored (40).
COLLEGE TO THE PROS
Remillard attended Coastal Carolina University and helped guide the Chanticleers to a National Championship in 2016. With success at the collegiate level, Remillard was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 10th round of the 2016 MLB June Amateur Draft.
Since then, he's worked hard and has made his way through the organization. He earned a promotion to the Knights on May 19, 2021 -- and has been one of the team's key players since.
