Lancaster, CA- The Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino headed into Thursday's game at Lancaster having lost five consecutive games, all at the hands of the JetHawks; the Sixers snapped that skid however in a wild 19-15 win at the Hangar in ten innings. Inland Empire (60-70, 30-30) got career nights from Jordan Zimmerman and Michael Barash as every single player that dug into a batter's box in the game got at least one hit. The Sixers opened the scoring the first batter of the game when Jahmai Jones tagged a solo homer to right-center, his fifth of the year, for the first of the games 34 runs. Jones has now hit safely in 25 consecutive games. The teams traded haymakers throughout the night as the game as the Sixers set season highs in runs, hits and homers (4) and as well as hits allowed and matched their season worst with four errors. Trailing 14-11 through seven innings Barash blasted a solo shot to left, his ninth, making it 14-12. In the ninth Jack Kruger singled and scored on Zimmerman's RBI double. Jared Walsh then delivered a RBI single with one out to tie the game 14-14. In the tenth with one out the Sixers took the lead with a five-run outburst that saw eighth straight batters reach base. Kruger's RBI walks against Scott Griggs (0-2) brought home the go-ahead run. Jordan Zimmerman followed with a RBI single for his franchise record sixth hit on the night. Walsh followed with a RBI single and Barash capped it with a two-run single, his fifth hit of the affair. Zimmerman finished a triple short of the cycle as he finished with two doubles, three singles and his fourth homer with Inland Empire. Keith Grieshaber joined Jones, Barash and Zimmerman with a homer on the night. Sam Holland (3-1) earned the win on the mound for the Sixers with two scoreless frames while the JetHawks did score a run in the tenth and brought the tying run to the plate but Samil De Los Santos got the final out for his eighth save. Yonathan Daza and Wes Rogers each fell a homer short of the cycle for the JetHawks (73-57, 35-25).
