Storm Chasers Baseball Network
The Storm Chasers Baseball Network will broadcast all of the Omaha Storm Chasers’ regular-season games in 2025. A minimum of 120 regular season games will be heard on the radio home for Storm Chasers baseball, News Talk 1290 KOIL with additional games added throughout the season. Games broadcast on News Talk 1290 KOIL can also found online via NRG online stream or the News Talk 1290 KOIL app, which is available for download from Google Play or the Apple App Store. The Storm Chasers and NRG Media returned to a partnership ahead of the 2024 season.
For a 3rd straight season, audio of all 150 Storm Chasers games will be streamed live on Mixlr, with select games exclusively streamed on Mixlr when in conflict with the preexisting News Talk 1290 KOIL programming schedule. Many road games will be broadcasted in-person and on-site, while select road series will be broadcasted remotely. Game broadcasts will begin 20 minutes prior to first pitch with the Sarpy County Tourism Pregame Show, followed by live play-by-play of every pitch from the voice of the Storm Chasers, Nick Badders, and coverage continues postgame following the final out with the City of Papillion Postgame Show.

Broadcaster
Nick Badders joined the Storm Chasers in January 2023 and is entering his 3rd season as the team's play-by-play broadcaster for all home and road games. 2025 marks Nick's 9th season on the air in professional baseball, his 6th in Minor League Baseball and 5th in the Kansas City Royals organization. Prior to coming to Omaha, Nick spent the 2021 and 2022 seasons as the radio broadcaster for the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, Kansas City's Double-A affiliate.
In September 2023, Nick acted as a fill-in broadcaster for the Royals Radio Network for a series in Toronto. In March 2025, he was the recipient of the Kansas City Royals' Matt Minker Award, which annually recognizes an outstanding Royals minor league affiliate employee.
He held similar roles with the Melbourne Aces (Australian Baseball League) from 2019 to 2021, the Elizabethton Twins (Advanced Rookie, Minnesota Twins) in 2019 and Sonoma Stompers (independent Pacific Association) in 2018. In addition to his work on the air in Minor League Baseball, the Livermore, California native has called games for the Arkansas Razorbacks on SEC Network + and the Razorback Sports Network from Learfield as well as for the Creighton Bluejays on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
Nick began his broadcasting career at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, where he called a variety of Sun Devil events for the Pac-12 Networks digital platform and Blaze Radio ASU, the student radio station, until he graduated in May of 2020. He helped launch coverage of ASU's women's club ice hockey team, calling play-by-play and organizing broadcast crews, also coordinating content production.
When not calling games at Arizona State, he was a student photographer and shot nearly every sport on campus - from football to basketball, baseball, gymnastics and everything in between. He was recognized as the Cronkite School's 2019 Greg Crowder Memorial Photojournalism Award winner, awarded annually to the to the school's best student photojournalist each year.
