Cheslor Cuthbert Named to 2015 Pacific Coast League All-Star Team

OMAHA, Neb. - Joining Omaha pitchers John Lamb and Louis Coleman, Storm Chasers infielder Cheslor Cuthbert has been added to the 2015 Pacific Coast League All-Star Roster. The First National Bank Triple-A All-Star Game is less than one week away, set for Wednesday, July 15 at 7:05 p.m.

The honor is the second Midseason All-Star selection in Cheslor Cuthbert's career, as he was named a Texas League All-Star for Double-A Northwest Arkansas during the 2014 season. Cuthbert is one of two Storm Chasers players representing the Kansas City organization in the SiriusXM Futures Game in Cincinnati tomorrow, along with new Omaha first baseman Balbino Fuenmayor.

Cuthbert is fresh off appearing in the first Major League stint of his career, collecting a hit in all four games with the Royals earlier this week. He ranks second on the Storm Chasers with 73 hits in his 76 games played, while also ranking second on the team with 33 RBI and third with eight home runs. 

"Triple-A All-Star Week" kicks off tomorrow with the FREE ConAgra Celebrity Fan Fest. Festivities start at 2:00 p.m. with live music from Lemon Fresh Day and the Budweiser Brewmaster Tour Bus and Beer Garden, and the Celebrity Softball Game beginning at 5:05 p.m. Monday features six sluggers from the Pacific Coast League and International League and two local high school players in the Triple-A Home Run Derby powered by OPPD at Werner Park on July 13 at 7:35 p.m. with post-Derby fireworks.
