Palm Beached erased a late 4-1 deficit vs. Ft. Myers and exploded for five runs in the final four innings en route to a 6-4 victory.
Palm Beach was first on the scoreboard with an RBI single from Irving Lopez.
Ft. Myers then consistently built its lead with a solo run in each of the third, fourth, fifth and sixth innings. Despite the final line of six innings and three earned runs given up, Evan Guillory kept composure with runners on base and was excellent with his command striking out four and not walking a single batter.
In the sixth and facing a 4-1 hole, Stefan Trosclair hit an RBI triple and was brought home by Conner Capel who followed with an RBI single of his own. All of a sudden, it was 4-3 Palm Beach.
The Cardinals knotted the game at four in the seventh when Trosclair was hit with the bases loaded.
In the eighth, the home squad pulled ahead with back-to-back RBI doubles off the bat of Justin Toerner and Elehuris Montero which put the Cards ahead 6-4.
Bryan Dobzanski threw a perfect ninth, securing the win and his third win in the process.
Out of the bullpen, Will Latcham recorded his fourth win with a scoreless eighth.
In the seventh, Jacob Patterson struck out all three batters he faced.
At the plate, Trosclair and Toerner each had three hits on the night with Dylan Carlson recording two base knocks and two runs of his own.
Palm Beach sits at 68-53 and although already clinched a spot in the playoffs by winning the first half, are 4.5 games out of the divisional race with 12 games left in the season.
The teams will face off tomorrow at 6:30 PM from Jupiter, Florida. Tickets and more information can be found at Rogerdeanchevroletstadium.com/tickets-events
