Led by a six-run third inning in which the Cardinals sent 12 batters to the plate and saw a gran slam from Brian O'Keefe, Palm Beach rolled to victory over Jupiter by a score of 7-3.
Aside from the grand slam, Justin Toerner drew an RBI walk and Dylan Carlson brought the other run home with a single. The Cardinals would load the bases for a second time with two outs, but were unable to capitalize.
Starter Jake Walsh once again impressed. The righty threw five innings of one-run baseball and struck out five while allowing two hits and no walks.
Tristan Pompey hit a two-run homer in the sixth for the Hammerheads, cutting Palm Beach's lead to three runs. That's all the visitors would score as the bullpen shut the offense down.
Jacob Patterson threw two scoreless innings and struck out three.
Will Latcham then finished the game with a scoreless ninth frame from the mound.
The Cardinals scored an insurance run in the seventh on a Shane Billings RBI single to make it a 7-3 ballgame.
Kramer Robertson went 2-3 and every Cardinals' batter reached base at least once.
With one game left in the season series, Palm Beach holds an 11-10 lead over the Hammerheads with that finale to be played Sunday at 1 PM.
