Showalter recorded the final two outs but the tying run came into score on a Sammy Hernandez throwing error to make it 7-7.

For the second straight game, the Cardinals and Blue Jays went to extra innings. Showalter continued to pitch for Palm Beach and allowed the placed-runner to score on an RBI hit-by-pitch to Victor Arias to give Dunedin an 8-7 lead. However, the Cardinals were able to score the placed-runner thanks to an RBI single by Chase Adkison which immediately tied the ballgame at 8-8.

Showalter stayed in the game for the top of the 11th inning and Dunedin would get two runs across home plate thanks to a two-RBI double by Yhoangel Aponte which gave the Blue Jays a 10-8 lead. The Cardinals were able to load the bases in the bottom of the 11th inning but failed to score as Palm Beach fell to Dunedin by a 10-8 final score in 11 innings on Friday night.
