The Tortugas got a run back in the second and Palm Beach extended that lead back to two runs in the third.
Daytona claimed its first lead of the game in the fourth when three runners crossed the plate on
Down 4-3 in the bottom half of the fifth, Palm Beach had its first inside-the-park homer of the season.
It was a short lived lead as Daytona scored two more in the sixth before Palm Beach tied it back up in the sixth.
In the bottom of the eighth, the Cardinals strung together three consecutive two out hits to take a late 7-6 lead.
