Palm Beach wins see-saw battle vs. Daytona

The Tortugas got a run back in the second and Palm Beach extended that lead back to two runs in the third.
Daytona claimed its first lead of the game in the fourth when three runners crossed the plate on Ibandel Isabel's three-run homer, his second of two long balls on the night.
Down 4-3 in the bottom half of the fifth, Palm Beach had its first inside-the-park homer of the season. Dylan Carlson hit a ball that careened off the right field fence back toward the infield and never stopped hustling. Brian O'Keefe also scored on the play to give Palm Beach a 5-4 lead.
It was a short lived lead as Daytona scored two more in the sixth before Palm Beach tied it back up in the sixth.
In the bottom of the eighth, the Cardinals strung together three consecutive two out hits to take a late 7-6 lead.
Will Latcham threw a scoreless ninth and earned his eighth save in the process.
Starter Casey Meisner struggled in his 5 1/3 innings, giving up six earned runs on seven hits.
Out of the bullpen, Eric Carter threw 2 2/3 scoreless innings and allowed just one baserunner.
Taylor Bryant had a team high three hits. Shane Billings and Johan Mieses both added two hits.
Palm Beach is now tied atop the Florida State League South Division with 10 games to go in the first half.
Daytona and Palm Beach will play game two of its series on Saturday at 5:30 PM. It is Halfway to Haloween at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium with many activities for all ages including a pre-game helicopter candy drop.
