Management

Jason enters 2024, his 8th season as General Manager and 10th season with the club overall. He was voted the 2017 Midwest League Executive of the Year in his 1st season as GM. He oversees the day-to-day operations of the organization and the stadium. Jason loves being involved in the Peoria community both personally and professionally and is currently on the Peoria Chamber Board, Sporting FC of Central Illinois Board as Vice President, and is a member of the Peoria North Rotary currently serving as the Club President.

Prior to joining the Peoria Chiefs, Jason started his sports career with the Nashville Predators (NHL) in January 2002 in their Inside Sales Department selling season tickets and group outings. That November, Jason was promoted to an Account Executive for Ticket Sales and continued selling season tickets and groups in addition to premium seating. He was promoted to Sr. Account Executive in 2007 and took on a leadership role assisting in the hiring and training of the Inside Sales Department.

In 2009, Jason joined the Saint Louis Athletica (WPS) as the Sr. Director of Ticket Sales overseeing all aspects of the Ticket Sales Department. During his stint with the Athletica, Jason helped in the planning and execution of hosting the WPS All Star game in St. Louis in 2009.

Jason joined the Redbirds in November of 2009 as Ticket Sales Manager. He oversaw the daily activity of the Ticket Sales Department, dealing with premium seating, group, and season ticket opportunities at AutoZone Park. He helped turn around a struggling organization revenue wise in his 5 years in Memphis, which led to the St. Louis Cardinals purchasing the team in March 2014.

Jason a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan and holds his degree in Sports Management from Southeast Missouri State University. Jason lives in Washington with his beautiful wife Kristen and their sons Carter and Kellen. When not working, he enjoys family time, working out/running, watching his sons compete in sports, hanging out with friends, collecting sports memorabilia, and attending sporting events.

Jason's most memorable sports moments were winning the OVC Tournament in 2000 and going to the Big Dance with the basketball team at Southeast Missouri State and attending the last two clinching games of the Cardinals' 2006 and 2011 World Series Championships. He is still in search of his first championship in his professional career and hopes to add that to his most memorable sports moments in 2024.

Gary enters his 3rd season with the Chiefs and 15th season in baseball. He oversees all corporate partnerships and stadium operations for the team. Gary is active in the community, volunteering and participating in many events held around the Peoria area.

Previous to joining the Chiefs, Gary was with the Stockton Ports. At Stockton he lead the corporate and sales department. Helped the team through the covid season and was in charge of planning the All-Star game that was to be hosted. Gary has also worked with the Everett AquaSox and Oklahoma City RedHawks, just to name a couple.

Gary earned his Sports Management degree from Quincy University. While at Quincy, he was member of the baseball team. When not at the stadium Gary enjoys hunting, being in the outdoors, working on house, and grilling. He can be found cheering on the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers and watching the SEC network.

Box Office & Ticket Sales

Matthew enters 2024, his 3rd season as Director of Ticket Operations. He oversees the day-to-day operations when it comes to the box office and sales staff. Matthew is also very big in the community in Peoria as he is the Vice Chair with the YPGP (Young Professional of Great Peoria).

Prior to joining the Peoria Chiefs, Matthew started his sports career with the Winthrop Athletics. He was the Communication Assistant for the Volleyball and Baseball team. While doing this, Matthew was also working as a ticket seller for the Charlotte Knights.

After Graduating College, Matthew got a job with the Pawtucket Red Sox (Now Worcester Red Sox), as the Box Office Assistant in 2019 season. Matthew helped with all Box Office related work. Due to COVID, Matthew was furloughed and moved back to South Carolina.

Matthew is a lifelong Cleveland Guardians fan and holds his degree in Sports Management from Winthrop and a master’s in business administration from Winthrop. When not working, he enjoys hanging with friends, helping in the community, or watching and attending other sporting events.

Alex enters into his 3rd season with the Chiefs in 2024, joining them in November of 2021. He is an Account Executive, helping sell season tickets, premium seats, and group outings to individuals, businesses and organizations around the Peoria area.

Before joining the Chiefs, Alex started his sports career in Stillwater, Oklahoma, as a member of the Oklahoma State Athletics ticket office in 2019. He was a Fan Service Representative, assisting fans with their ticket purchases and answering questions both on gamedays and off.

After his graduation from Oklahoma State in summer 2021 with a degree in Sports Management, Alex moved to Memphis where he worked as a Sales and Marketing Representative for the Memphis Redbirds and 901 FC. During this time, he sold season tickets as well as premium and group seats for both the baseball and soccer teams, while working with a number of businesses and youth organizations.

In addition to working for the Chiefs, Alex is also a member of the Young Professionals of Greater Peoria and enjoys attending networking events around the area. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with friends, traveling to St. Louis to visit his girlfriend, going to sports games, and trying to cook new recipes. He is a massive sports fan, supporting the Dallas Cowboys, Calgary Flames, Memphis Grizzlies, St. Louis Cardinals, Chelsea FC, Borussia Dortmund, and STL City SC.

Nick enters his 1st season with the Chiefs, joining them in April of 2024. You may have seen him in the team store this season where he began his time with the team as the Merchandise Intern. Nick is now the Community Relations & Retail Manager, helping run multiple community relations initiatives including Homer’s Reading Program, Silver Sluggers, and Kid’s Club, and is also in charge of merchandise operations for the team store.

Before joining the Chiefs, Nick was a manager at Target and was also completing his master’s degree in Sport Administration from the University of Louisville.

When not working, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, spending time at the lake, and watching Chicago sports (minus the Cubs).

Media Relations

Cody was born and raised in Peoria and takes great pride in being from the city. He even had his 10th birthday party at Dozer Park!

Prior to joining the Chiefs, Cody was an intern/reporter at WCBU, Peoria’s Public Radio station. A 2019 graduate of Bradley University, Cody spent four years with BravesVision, the school’s student-led production group that covers all of Bradley’s sporting events on ESPN’s digital platforms. He called over 100 events as a student and still serves as the television voice of the Bradley women’s basketball team.

Away from the ballpark, Cody likes to play video games, explore opposing Midwest League cities and patronize local businesses. He also likes to argue with his friends in the group chat. Cody is a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan and is a stockholder of the team.

Cody resides in East Peoria with his fiancé, Noelle, and her dog, Bud.
