Jason enters 2024, his 8th season as General Manager and 10th season with the club overall. He was voted the 2017 Midwest League Executive of the Year in his 1st season as GM. He oversees the day-to-day operations of the organization and the stadium. Jason loves being involved in the Peoria community both personally and professionally and is currently on the Peoria Chamber Board, Sporting FC of Central Illinois Board as Vice President, and is a member of the Peoria North Rotary currently serving as the Club President.
Prior to joining the Peoria Chiefs, Jason started his sports career with the Nashville Predators (NHL) in January 2002 in their Inside Sales Department selling season tickets and group outings. That November, Jason was promoted to an Account Executive for Ticket Sales and continued selling season tickets and groups in addition to premium seating. He was promoted to Sr. Account Executive in 2007 and took on a leadership role assisting in the hiring and training of the Inside Sales Department.
In 2009, Jason joined the Saint Louis Athletica (WPS) as the Sr. Director of Ticket Sales overseeing all aspects of the Ticket Sales Department. During his stint with the Athletica, Jason helped in the planning and execution of hosting the WPS All Star game in St. Louis in 2009.
Jason joined the Redbirds in November of 2009 as Ticket Sales Manager. He oversaw the daily activity of the Ticket Sales Department, dealing with premium seating, group, and season ticket opportunities at AutoZone Park. He helped turn around a struggling organization revenue wise in his 5 years in Memphis, which led to the St. Louis Cardinals purchasing the team in March 2014.
Jason a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan and holds his degree in Sports Management from Southeast Missouri State University. Jason lives in Washington with his beautiful wife Kristen and their sons Carter and Kellen. When not working, he enjoys family time, working out/running, watching his sons compete in sports, hanging out with friends, collecting sports memorabilia, and attending sporting events.
Jason's most memorable sports moments were winning the OVC Tournament in 2000 and going to the Big Dance with the basketball team at Southeast Missouri State and attending the last two clinching games of the Cardinals' 2006 and 2011 World Series Championships. He is still in search of his first championship in his professional career and hopes to add that to his most memorable sports moments in 2024.
