At West Point, Friedrick in 2023 was a First Team All-Patriot League honoree as a first baseman, a Patriot League Preseason All-League Team honoree and helped Army win the 2023 Patriot League Championship over No. 2 Bucknell to reach the NCAA Charlottesville Regional in June… started all 56 games for Army in ‘23 and led the team with 17 home runs, setting a new West Point record for homers in a single season and helping the Black Knights to a program-record 38 wins… hit .368 in 228 at-bats in 2023, finishing with 59 RBIs and 84 hits… hit .340 in 56 games in 2022 along with six homers and 49 RBIs, earning First Team All-Patriot League honors as a first baseman and a spot on the Patriot League All-Tournament Team… batted .322 in 35 games in 2021 and was named the Patriot League Tournament MVP after not committing an error all season… was limited to five games in 2020 before the season was shortened by the Covid-19 pandemic…. wrapped up his Army career with a .345 average in 160 games… prior to West Point, he played at Cambridge High School in Milton, Georgia, where he was a two-time Second Team All-Region selection and was voted the team’s defensive MVP… became the first Cambridge alum to sign a contract with a Major League organization… grew up in Alpharetta, Georgia… parents are Sherry Clark Friedrick and Brian Friedrick Jr; he has a sister, Caroline, who attended the United States Air Force Academy
