Hart with six strong innings, as 'Dogs win 5-3 at Hartford
Hartford, Conn. - The Portland Sea Dogs (34-51) used six strong innings from Kyle Hart (W, 6-5) and two run-scoring doubles from Tony Renda, defeating the Hartford Yard Goats (41-44), 5-3 on Friday night at Dunkin' Donuts Park.

Portland trailed 1-0 after the first inning on a solo-homer by Roberto Ramos but tied the game in the second inning off losing pitcher Ryan Castellani (5-5). Tate Matheny stole third base and scored on a throwing error by the catcher.
The 'Dogs added two runs in the third inning off Castellani. Chad De La Guerra doubled and scored on an error. Renda delivered his first RBI double, giving Portland a 3-1 lead.
Portland added single runs in the fifth and sixth innings on Renda's double and a homer by Jordan Betts.
Hart worked six innings on seven hits and three runs, allowing a two-run homer to Brendan Rodgers in the sixth.
Trey Ball worked two scoreless and fanned three to earn a hold. Jordan Weems pitched a perfect ninth for his second Double-A save.
The Sea Dogs and Hartford Yard Goats (Rockies affiliate) meet on Saturday night beginning at 6:05 PM from Dunkin' Donuts Park. Lefty Matt Kent (5-5, 3.72) makes his 18th appearance of the season. Hartford counters with righty Rico Garcia (0-0, 7.50).
