Hofacket, 23, made 19 relief appearances with the BayBears after beginning the year with Class A Advanced Inland Empire. In 30 1/3 innings, he posted a 2.97 ERA and was a perfect 5-for-5 in save situations, increasing his career saves total to 22-for-25. Hofacket only walked five batters while striking out 29. In his most recent outing, he threw two scoreless innings in a six-out save in Saturday's road game against Tennessee.
The Riverside, Calif., native was selected by the Angels in the 10th round of the 2015 First-Year Player Draft out of California Baptist University. Hofacket was the No. 21 prospect in the Angels organization entering the 2017 season, according to Baseball America.

In 80 games combined between Inland Empire and Class A Burlington, Montgomery, 22, hit .279 with eight home runs, 35 RBI, 27 extra-base hits, and 11 stolen bases. In his first professional season last year, Montgomery had a .291 batting average with seven home runs, 30 RBI, and 13 stolen bases.
The Indianapolis native was selected by the Angels in the eighth round of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft out of Ohio State University. He is currently the No. 17 prospect in the organization, according to MLB Pipeline.
Medina, 24, made seven relief appearances in the Southern League with Tennessee to begin the 2017 season. He held opposing hitters to a .192 average in seven innings pitched. He was released by the Chicago Cubs on May 12 and signed with the Angels as a Minor League free agent on June 21.
The Maracay, Venezuela native signed his first professional contract with the Baltimore Orioles on December 14, 2009. Medina also spent time in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization, where he reached the Triple-A level in 2016 with Indianapolis.
