  • Five batters later, Harrison Freed hits a bloops single into left field that scores Jeff Houghtby and Brandon Martorano and increases the lead to 4-0.
  • In the top of the second inning, after Hillsboro tied the game at 4, Canario hits an RBI double that scores Bishop and gives the Volcanoes the lead back at 5-4.
  • In the top of the sixth, after Hillsboro took a 7-5 lead, Freed hits a solo home run over the wall in left field to cut the lead to 7-6.

 The Volcanoes will play the final game of the three-game road series against the Hops with Travis Perry on the mound.
