Bailey Ober joins Kernels from Extended Spring Training

The Twins selected Ober in the 12th round of the 2017 First Year Player Draft out of the College of Charleston. He spent last season with Elizabethton, posting at 2-2 record and 3.21 ERA in six games (four starts). In 28 IP, he allowed 24 hits and 10 runs (all earned) with three walks and 35 strikeouts.
Ober is active and available for tonight's 6:35 PM game with Burlington and is scheduled to be the starting pitcher. With today's transaction, the Kernels roster is at the MWL maximum of 25 active players, with three players currently on the DL, one player on the suspended list and one player on the military leave list.
The Kernels wrap up a seven-game home stand tonight against the Burlington Bees at 6:35 PM with the gates opening at 5:30 PM. They begin a three-game series at Quad Cities on Friday, April 27th and return home to Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Tuesday, May 1st to open a six-game home stand against South Bend and West Michigan.
