Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Minnesota Twins announce that RHP Clark Beeker has been promoted to Fort Myers (FSL) and Eduardo Del Rosario rejoins the Kernels from Fort Myers. Brad Steil, Director of Minor League Operations for the Twins, announced the move.
Beeker was a member of the Kernels 2017 Opening Day roster and has made 20 starts for the Kernels this season, posting an 11-3 record and 2.03 ERA. In 128.2 IP, he allowed 102 hits and 34 runs (29 earned) with 84 strikeouts and just 17 walks. He also had two complete game shutouts, the most recent on July 29th vs. Clinton. He was selected by the Twins in the 33rd round of the 2016 First Year Player Draft out of Davidson.
Del Rosario was promoted to Fort Myers on July 26th after posting a 7-6 record and 4.39 ERA in 18 starts for the Kernels. He was 1-1 with a 5.32 ERA in four starts at Fort Myers and was signed by the Twins as a non-drafted free agent on December 21, 2012.

Del Rosario is active and available for tonight's 6:30 PM game at Burlington. With today's transactions, the Kernels roster is at the Midwest League maximum of 25 active players, with five players currently on the DL and one player currently on the military leave list.
The Kernels are in the midst of a four-game commuter series at Burlington that continues through Thursday, August 17th. They return to Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Friday, August 18th and open a four-game home series with Beloit that continues through Monday, August 21st.
