Beeker was promoted to Fort Myers on August 15th and made three starts for the Miracle, posting a 1-1 record and 7.80 ERA. He made 20 starts for the Kernels this season, posting an 11-3 record and 2.03 ERA. In 128.2 IP, he allowed 102 hits and 34 runs (29 earned) with 84 strikeouts and just 17 walks. He also had two complete game shutouts, the most recent on July 29th vs. Clinton. He was selected by the Twins in the 33rd round of the 2016 First Year Player Draft out of Davidson.
Beeker will join the Kernels in Beloit and is active and available for today's 2:00 PM game with the Snappers. With today's transaction, the Kernels roster is at the Midwest League maximum of 25 active players, with seven players currently on the DL and one player currently on the military leave list.
The Kernels are in the midst of the final road trip of the season against Beloit at 2:00 PM. They host the Kane County Cougars in Game 1 of the MWL Western Division Quarterfinals on Wednesday, September 6th at 6:35 PM.
