Westbrook, 22, paced the Southern League with seven runs scored this week and also led all batters with nine hits and 19 total bases. The Gilbert, Arizona native recorded a pair of homers and four total extra-base hits; posting the highest slugging percentage (.731) among players who appeared in all six games this week.

Now in the midst of his third Southern League season, Westbook leads the league with 107 total bases thus far and currently ranks among the league leaders in a number of offensive categories including hits (61, T-2nd), extra-base hits (24, 5th), and runs scored (36, T-3rd). He was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the fifth round of the 2013 MLB Amateur Draft out of Basha High School in Chandler, Arizona.
Tomshaw, 29, earns Pitcher of the Week honors after posting a pair of high quality starts including a complete game victory last night against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. The Kingston, New York native led all Southern League hurlers with 16.0 innings pitched this week, allowing just one earned run on eight total hits while walking only one batter and registering 12 strikeouts.
Currently in his first year with the Chicago White Sox organization, the veteran southpaw has made 78 total Southern League appearances across parts of four seasons. Last year, Tomshaw was named a 2017 Southern League All-Star as a member of the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. He was originally drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 42nd round of the MLB Amateur Draft out of Jacksonville University.
