Rojas, 25, went 13-for-27 (.481) at the plate with four multi-hit games and hits in six of his seven games played. He homered three times in the Mississippi series, including a grand slam Friday night when he hit for the cycle. Rojas drove in a career-high seven runs in the game and a total of 11 in the series. Additionally, Rojas stole three bases, drew three walks, and scored five runs during the week.
In 18 games, Rojas ranks second on the BayBears with a .356 average and has a team-high 1.065 OPS. He is the third member of the BayBears to win a weekly award in the first five weeks of the season, joining infielder
The Anaheim, Calif., native was selected by the Angels in the 36th round of the 2016 MLB Draft out of Vanguard University. Rojas was named Player of the Week in the California League on July 2, 2017 and the Pioneer League on July 10, 2016. He was a California League Mid-Season and Post-Season All-Star last year.
