Trevino, 24, is batting .247 with seven home runs and 39 RBIs in 95 games this season. The Corpus Christi, Texas native has been sharp defensively as well, leading all qualified Texas League catchers with a .996 fielding percentage. He also paces the circuit with 31 runners caught stealing in 75 tries, and his 41 percent caught-stealing rate tops the league among qualifiers.
The Postseason All-Star honor is the second of Trevino's career after claiming the same recognition last season with the Advanced-A High Desert Mavericks in the California League.
The RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, continue their current road trip Saturday at 7 p.m. in Midland. The Riders return to Dr Pepper Ballpark for the final seven games of the season Aug. 29-Sept. 4. The Frisco RoughRiders are the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers and play their games at beautiful Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas.
