Padlo, 22, earns Player of the Week honors after reaching base safely in all seven games for Montgomery this week; leading the Biscuits to a 6-1 overall record and a 3.5 game lead in the Southern League's North Division standings. Over the past seven days, Padlo led all Southern League batters in OPS (1.686), total bases (22), and slugging percentage (1.100) while ranking among the league leaders in RBI (8, T-1st), on-base percentage (.586, 2nd), batting average (.450, 3rd), and hits (9, T-4th).

On the season, the Murrieta, California native ranks among the Southern League's best in both doubles (13, T-7th) and walks (30, T-5th) despite appearing in just 41 games. On May 1, he started the first triple play in Montgomery Biscuits history while playing third base. Originally selected in the fifth round of the 2015 MLB Amateur Draft by the Colorado Rockies out of Murrieta Valley High School, Padlo was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays on January 28, 2016. This marks his first season in the Southern League.
McWilliams, 23, is named Pitcher of the Week following a pair of high quality starts which combined into a 1-0 record with a 0.00 ERA (0 ER/15.0 IP). The Orlando, Florida native allowed just seven total hits and two walks this past week while striking out 11 opposing batters and securing a pair of team victories for the first-place Biscuits.
Among qualified pitchers this season, McWilliams ranks fourth in the Southern League with a 2.01 ERA (14 ER/62.2 IP) and is currently tied for fifth with a .667 win percentage (4-2). McWilliams is currently riding a streak of three straight shutouts, and is 2-1 with a 0.79 ERA (3 ER/34.1 IP) across his last five outings. The Rays received McWilliams on March 23 after he was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the 2018 MLB Rule 5 Draft by and returned to Tampa prior to the end of Spring Training this year.
