Cedar Rapids, IA - Richard A. Nussbaum II, President of the Midwest League of Professional Baseball Clubs, has announced its 2017 Post Season All-Star Roster. The team was selected by the Field Managers of the sixteen Midwest League member clubs.
Clark Beeker was selected to the Post Season All-Star Roster at RH starting pitcher in a tie with Sam McWilliams of Kane County. Shortstop Bo Bichette of Lansing was named the MWL Most Valuable Player and Prospect of the Year. West Michigan manager Mike Rabelo was named the MWL Manager of the Year.
Kane County had three players on the squad. A full listing of the team is below:

Third Base - Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. (Lansing)
Shortstop - Bo Bichette (Lansing)
Outfield - Jose Siri (Dayton)

Outfield - Marcus Wilson (Kane County)
Catcher - Chuckie Robinson (Quad Cities)
Designated Hitter - Li-Jen Chu (Lake County)
RH Pitcher - Clark Beeker (Cedar Rapids)
RH Pitcher - Sam McWilliams (Kane County)
LH Pitcher - Gregory Soto (West Michigan)
RH Reliever - Tommy Eveld (Kane County)

The Kernels begin a four-game home stand tonight against the Beloit Snappers at 6:35 PM. The first 1,000 fans through the gates receive a FREE Bob Brooks Bobblehead, courtesy KMRY Radio. Gates open at 5:30 PM and the upcoming home stand continues through Monday, August 21st.
