The Twins signed Gomez as a non-drafted free agent on April 9, 2014. He has made four relief appearances for the Kernels this season, posting an 0-0 record and 3.86 ERA. In 7 IP, he allowed seven hits and three runs (all earned) with three walks and seven strikeouts.
Acosta made one start for the Kernels in game two of yesterday's DH with Quad Cities. He allowed two runs on three hits over 3.2 IP and took the loss. He was signed by the Twins as a non-drafted free agent on September 29, 2015.
Gomez is active and available for today's 1:15 game at Quad Cities. With today's transactions, the Kernels roster remains at the MWL maximum of 25 active players, with five players currently on the DL, one player on the suspended list and one player on the military leave list.
The Kernels wrap up a four-game, three-day road trip at Quad Cities with a DH this afternoon at 1:15 PM. They return to Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Tuesday, May 1st to open a six-game home stand against South Bend and West Michigan.
