PEARL, MS -- Mississippi Braves infielder Dylan Moore  and LHP Kolby Allard  have been named Mississippi Farm Bureau Player and Pitcher of the Week for the week ending Sunday, July 30.
Moore, 24, played in five games during the week and posted a .316 batting average. He went 6-for-19 with a double and two RBI. In 90 games with the Double-A Braves this season, Moore has a .190 average with 11 doubles, three home runs and 31 RBI. He's hitting .306 in 24 games during the month of July. The California native was acquired by the Braves from the Texas Rangers as part of a three-team trade on August 24, 2016. Moore was originally selected by the Rangers in the seventh round of the 2015 draft out of the University of Central Florida.
Allard, 19, picked up the win against Jacksonville Saturday night at Trustmark Park. He held the Jumbo Shrimp to just five hits and two walks while striking out four in 5.2 innings of work. Allard is 6-9 with a 3.56 ERA in 21 starts for the M-Braves this season. The southpaw was named Braves Organizational Pitcher of the Month at Double-A Mississippi after going 1-1 with a 1.67 ERA in five starts during the month of April. Allard went 8-3 with a 2.98 ERA in 16 starts between R-Danville and Low-A Rome last year. A native of San Clemente, CA, Allard was selected by the Braves in the first round of the 2015 draft.
