The Twins selected Steer in the 3rd round of the 2019 First Year Player Draft out of Oregon. He has played in 20 games at Elizabethton, batting .325 (25-77) with six doubles, 2 HR and 13 RBI.
Williams has played in 57 games for the Kernels this season, batting .215 (39-181) with 10 HR and 30 RBI. He was selected by the Twins in the 8th round of the 2018 First Year Player Draft out of Clemson.
Steer is active and available for today's 2:05 PM game with Lansing. With today's transactions, the Kernels roster remains at the MWL maximum of 25 active players, with five players currently on the injured list.
The Kernels continue a six-game home stand today at 2:05 PM against the Lansing Lugnuts with the gates opening at 1:00 PM. The current home stand continues through Monday, July 15th.
