Travis Blankenhorn activated from 7-day DL

Blankenhorn went on the DL back on August 10th with a lower back strain. In 104 games for the Kernels this season, he is batting .234 with 8 HR, 52 RBI, 19 doubles and 10 triples. He was selected by the Twins in the third round of the 2015 First Year Player Draft out of Pottsville Area (PA) HS.
Minier has played in 32 games since joining the Kernels on June 23rd, batting .142 (15-106) with 3 HR and 15 RBI. He was signed by the Twins as a non-drafted free agent on July 2, 2012
Blankenhorn is active and available for tonight's 6:30 PM game at Burlington. With today's transactions, the Kernels roster is at the Midwest League maximum of 25 active players, with five players currently on the DL and one player currently on the military leave list.
The Kernels wrap up a four-game commuter series at Burlington tonight at 6:30 PM. They return to Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Friday, August 18th and open a four-game home series with Beloit that continues through Monday, August 21st.
